† Memento I

Inside of me are demons unnamed,
mythos yet discovered by specialists.
They will try to put a label on me,
them and their bibles will try to defuse this disease
but I assure you that I am not sick,
that I’ll brave the ends of this earth.
I’ll see to it that my heart discovers
the ultimate symphony,
the rightful conclusion.

You are all vultures equipped with murderous talons,
with flawless aim, you strike at my sanity
but I’ll never be broken,
I’ll never shatter into countless pieces
because I know what I am
and you’re still trying to figure it out.

What you call demons, I call the truth.
I’ll watch as they tear through your flesh,
laugh as it overtakes your soul
while it liberates me.
